Volunteers, just by virtue of “showing up” remind our learners that they are capable and worthy of a good job.

How does a volunteer help ?

Our volunteer opportunities allow community members to engage with our students and help them develop critical soft skills that are necessary for their future careers. Beyond improving their resumes and interview strategies, our learners  also build their professional network and their professional self-worth. Our volunteers give back to their community and expand their own networks, connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

For corporate volunteer programs

For corporate volunteer programs, INCO facilitates student- volunteer workshops that match small groups of students with volunteers to run through a series of soft-skills exercises. INCO provides training, toolkits and communication materials to encourage our partners and their employees to take part in these events.

Target and ongoing support

Targeted and ongoing support ensures a meaningful experience for our volunteers that, in turn, provides an authentic learning experience for our beneficiaries. Company-wide volunteerism with our programs leads to increased engagement of staff in their everyday work, decreased turnover, improved communications amongst business divisions and many other positive benefits for our corporate partners.
